Multi-Dimensional Language Models and Their Applications in Visual Arts
Dohnal, Marek ; Tomko, Martin (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with application of formal models, namely four-way and cellular automata, in the field of visual arts. New models were designed in order to recognize, modify, and transform an input grid comprised of tiles. These models are implemented in an application accepting an input grid, which is colourized and transformed in the serial art style of Victor Vasarely. The result of this work is a synthesis of an input grid and a colour reference into a video visualisation of the transformations carried out by the newly designed cellular automaton.
The Relationship between God's Revelation and the Human Experience of Beauty as a Challenge to Religious Education
BLAŽEK IŇOVÁ, Veronika
This dissertation deals with a theological reflection on the relationship between the supernatural sphere of God's revelation and the natural realm of its human finding in the beauty of the created world and in the visual arts. We thus approach the question of the relationship between the sacred and beautiful theoretically from several theological and aesthetic perspectives so that we can subsequently apply these findings to contemporary practice in the field of religious education. The main theoretical background that inspired our work is theological aesthetics, especially the work of one of its main representatives, Hans Urs von Balthasar, who in his trilogy "Herrlichkeit: Eine theologische Ästhetik" presented a unique way of theological thinking about the relationship between beauty and other degrees (good and truth) of recognizing the sacred reality in the profane world. The aim of the qualitative research presented here was then to empirically find out whether one can really experience transcendence through beauty, and if so, how does one perceive this experience? The research was divided into two parts, which correspond to different target groups. In the first part, the research was conducted using the method of interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA) and the data obtained by in-depth interviews with five visual artists. The second part of the research examined the modalities of perception of the beautiful and sacred according to high school students, using the method of grounded theory (GTM) and analysis of photographic data. The didactic method presented here, which leads its listeners from the perception of created and artistic beauty through the goodness of interpersonal relationships to the realization of the meaning of life, which can culminate in accepting the ultimate knowledge of the Truth, which is Christ, was called "Astonish-Experience-Transform." This didactic "transcendental" model is an application of empirically obtained data and theoretical conclusions and can be applied in religious education, catechesis, and pastoral care as a dynamic element of human experience that can open the way for the seeking person towards God's Love.

The main aim of this thesis is to carry out a complex analysis of conceptual features of work of copyright under the Czech Copyright Act No. 121/2000 Coll. (including key and not always properly interpreted terms such as work of art, originality, or creativity) and then to apply these features to examples of the world's major works of visual art from the twentieth and twenty-first century. Author of this thesis tries to find out whether even specific works of visual art "meet legal requirements" imposed on works of copyright and thus may enjoy the copyright protection in the Czech legal system. It is the effort to identify boundaries between works of copyright and objects which are not under the protection of copyright law what is reflected in the title of this diploma thesis. Text of this thesis is divided into two main units. The first unit, which is the core of the thesis, is called "Limits of work of copyright", the second unit is called "Limits of appropriation". In the general part of the first unit the author tries to focus deeply on theoretical inquiry about the concept of work of copyright under...

The aim of this work is to illustrate, on the example of personal theory, a radical approach in the field of culture, to inform about new approaches in the field of art and to fluidly combine certain belongings. Content: theory, experience, interviews, artists, development, future Headline Chapters: Ghost in the 21st Century, Wickedness, Brand Queers, Great Army of People, New Base (Emancipation) Main artists: Jana Kratochvílová, Arca x Jessie Kanda, Anne Imhof, Tino Seghal, Bjork, Ryan Trecartin, Anohni Literature: Phillip Vannini - theory unrepresentative introduction: The theme of the thesis is based on personal experience. In 2016, I intuitively felt that artists working with thematic themes would start to harden in their approach and make the creation more radical. So I wrote in the bathroom on the mirror the statement FUCK HARDER IN 2K17. It turned out I was right, and indeed 2017 was a sign of radicalism in more directions - from visual art, video clips, music, pop culture to fashion photography. In my work I would like to concentrate on this subject and selected artist from all over the world. Understand your perception of this phenomenon over the current work of selected artists, and on the basis of this you can easily indicate the further development of these artists. The selection of artists will be key to the work and will be intuitive, complemented by interviews with artists. Intuition at work will be the next key to link everything you can imagine.
